SHAKEN DUKE OF EDINBURGH BREATHALYZED AS MOTORIST HURT IN CAR SMASH

The Duke Of Edinburgh, 97, escaped unhurt but shaken up after his car turns on it’s side in a shunt while he was driving on thursday.

Prince Philip was pulling out of a drive onto the main road, when he collided with a Kia Vehicle.

Onlookers raced to help both the other motorist and the Duke, who had to helped from his car, which suffered a smashed windscreen.

The accident happened around 3 0′ clock in the afternoon on thursday, close to the Queen’s estate Sandringham on the A149. It was thought the low sun was a factor.

The Kia driver and her female passenger went to hospital and had minor injuries.

Both motorists were breath-tested at the scene, police said and both results were negative. A passer by said that the Duke’s Land Rover was hit from the side.

Prince Philip was conscious as he was helped out of his vehicle but was a bit shaken, There was soon plenty of police on the scene.

There was no confirmation if anyone else was travelling with the Duke, but it would have been likely for a Royal Protection Officer to have been present. It has also has been said that the Duke was seen by a doctor as a precautionary measure but confirmed that there was no serious injury.

The other motorist and her passenger had small cuts and a minor arm injury, but were later released from hospital.

The Queen is thought not thought to be with the Duke at the time of the accident.

Prince Philip who drives a Range Rover and a Land Rover continues to drive after retiring for royal duties two years ago. He has also got back into driving after hip surgery.
